Klezmer Kabbalat Shabbat

6:15 - 7:15
Oneg starts at 5:45
The Friday night Shabbat service will consist of a typical oneg and Shabbat service  at the end of the service Miriam will lead the congregation in the Kiddush.

The oneg with wine, cheese, hummus, and other treats is a small celebration of the sabbath, in this case, it helps serve as a transition from the hustle of the week to the calm of Shabbat. At Temple Beth Am, the fourth Friday is Klezmer Kabbalat, a lively service that is infused with the joy of klezmer music, including the sounds of clarinet and tuba. This service includes a short sermon but no Torah reading. These evenings are kid-friendly and include a time for introspection.
